Placed on the disabled list in late July due to right shoulder inflammation, Los Angeles Angels right-hander Alex Meyer has not appeared in a game since pitching seven shutout innings in a win over the Washington Nationals July 19.
On Monday the team announced that Meyer has been diagnosed with a torn labrum in his right shoulder, and he will miss the entire 2018 season as a result.
Also, the #Angels announced that Alex Meyer will undergo labrum surgery that will knock him out of the 2018 season.
