Yesterday afternoon, the Tampa Bay Rays avoided a three game sweep against Boston, as they defeated the Red Sox, 4-1.

Alex Cobb pitched a fine, albeit short game as he limited the Red Sox to one run over five innings pitched, striking out five and walking three. Cobb pitched to two hitters in the sixth inning, both of whom reached base.
