New York Giants WR Odell Beckham Jr. Officially Declared Out For Tonight’s Game

Beckham will sit out the season-opener.

New York Giants star wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. will miss tonight’s NFC East opening week showdown against the Dallas Cowboys.

Beckham injured his ankle in the Giants’ second preseason game against the Cleveland Browns on Aug. 21, and his status has been in doubt ever since.

Beckham did not practice this week but did go through some warmup drills with team personnel before tonight’s game.

However, the Giants elected to play it safe and hold him out.

The Giants will miss Beckham’s explosive playmaking against Dallas, but reports indicate he should be good to go next Monday night for the team’s first home game against the Detroit Lions.

The Giants and Cowboys will kick off at 8:30 p.m. ET on NBC.
